Hi! I’m Julie.
I’m a Master’s Level Counselor based in North Atlanta. At age 50, I made the intentional and exciting decision to return to school to pursue counseling after a long, fulfilling career in education and raising two sons. My passion lies in helping people reconnect with their minds, bodies, and spirits so they can feel empowered to live peacefully and authentically—on their own terms.
I’m known for my empathetic listening, intuitive insight, and ability to connect deeply with people from all walks of life. I hold an accepting, open-minded view of spirituality and sexuality—both vital aspects of living a balanced, fulfilling life.
Those who find me to be a good fit may be experiencing concerns such as:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Grief
- Insomnia
- Life Changes
- Menopause/Perimenopause
- Perfectionism
- Trauma
- Women’s Mental Health
I specialize in women’s mental health, with a focus on the perimenopause and menopause transition—a time when hormonal shifts and life changes can bring increased anxiety, depression, mood fluctuations, and insomnia. I help women navigate these transitions with compassion, perspective, and practical strategies for well-being.
I’m also passionate about helping clients work through grief, trauma, life transitions, and perfectionism. I am certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Narrative Exposure Therapy, and I integrate approaches from CBT, ACT, and DBT to meet each client’s unique needs. My counseling style is proactive and collaborative—I often provide between-session reflections or practices to help clients bring ease and insight into daily life.

The decision to shift careers during midlife was both intentional and deeply aligned with my purpose. After more than 20 years as an empathetic, effective educator, I realized that my true gift lies in building relationships that heal and empower.
If you’re feeling stuck or struggling, I’d be honored to walk beside you. Together, we can create an intentional, connected relationship that supports you in facing life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
I Would Really Like You to Know…
I have faced my own challenges with perfectionism, codependency, trauma, and deep grief. These experiences have shaped the compassionate, grounded person and counselor I am today. I bring a warm, empathetic energy to my work because I’ve been there—and I truly believe there is hope and healing ahead.
