Hi! I’m Marissa MS
My passion for this work grew from my own healing journey and the experience of learning what it means to reconnect with myself. That journey shaped the way I support others as they navigate their own growth, healing, and self-discovery.
I believe healing begins with curiosity, self-compassion, and the willingness to slow down. My hope is to help you come home to yourself—to reconnect with who you are and what you truly desire beneath the anxiety, self-criticism, expectations, and survival strategies that may no longer be serving you. Together, we’ll learn to tune into what your body is trying to tell you, regulate your nervous system, and build a deeper sense of trust in yourself through mindfulness and somatic approaches.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I’ll meet you where you are, celebrate your progress, gently challenge the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and help you build practical tools that support meaningful, lasting change.
Those who find me to be a good fit may be experiencing concerns such as:
-
Anxiety & Stress Management
-
Body Image & Disordered Eating
-
Addiction & Recovery
-
Life Transitions
-
Self-Esteem & Personal Growth
-
Mind-Body Connection
Who am I as a Counselor?
Because I continue to work in the health and wellness space as a nutrition and strength coach, I bring a unique perspective on the connection between mental and physical well-being. When it aligns with your goals, I’m happy to integrate those conversations into therapy. I also enjoy offering walk-and-talk sessions, where movement and nature can create space to slow down, reflect, and process life’s challenges in a different way.
- I draw from evidence-based approaches including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Motivational Interviewing
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Person-Centered Therapy
- Mindfulness
- Somatic interventions
I tailor each session to your unique story, needs, and goals.
